Mathew Perry was raised in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada .In addition to acting, he excelled at tennis — he was rated No. 17 nationally in the junior singles category, and he and his partner were ranked No. 3 in doubles competition. He debut his acting career when he was in seventh grade. He recalls, “After I got my first laugh on stage, I was hooked.” He moved to Los Angeles at the age of fifteen to join his father, in hopes of becoming both tennis professional and a working actor. After performing in several high school stage productions, his interest in acting increased.
. After graduation, he gained the leading role on the television series “Boys Will Be Boys”. He appeared on several other TV shows including ‘Home Free’, ‘Sydney’, ‘Growing Pains’. He also guest starred on ‘Beverly Hills , 90210’, ‘Who is the Boss’, ‘Empty Nest’, ‘The John Larroquette Show’ and ‘The Tracey Ullman Show’. On friends, he played the role of Chandler Bing.

His TV movies include “Deadly Relations,” “Call Me Anna” and “Dance ’til Dawn.”
His film credits include ‘A Night in the Life of Jimmy Reardon’, ‘Parallel Lives’ ‘She’s out of Control opposite Ami Dolenz and Tony Danza’, ‘Fools Rush In’ , ‘Edwards and Hunt : The First American Road Trip’ . When he is not working, Perry enjoys writing, playing Ice Hockey and softball.
